WOW!Reading is a lot of things; it’s a gateway to your imagination, it’s a way to entertain yourself and others, it’s a way to learn about the world around you but did you know that it can also be a fun competition? Even a sport? Thanks to the WOW! Reading Challenge and the Adopt-a-Library Literacy Program, it is now.

Who participates?

The WOW! Reading Challenge is open to any and all Preschools, Elementary Schools, Junior High/Middle Schools, and High Schools in Pictou and Antigonish Counties, Nova Scotia.

We encourage schools to foster a closer relationship between schools, the public library, and the police for the benefit of children, and to encourage literacy development and as spirit of healthy competition.

For any school or preschool who wishes to register in Antigonish and Pictou Counties, please contact Karen MacNeill (This email address is being protected from spambots.
